Ernest Jules Renoux 1863 – 1932
Born in Romeny-sur-Marne, Renoux was working at the height of French Impressionism.
He favoured painting the human form, often using members of his family as sitters.
His home town has a museum dedicated to his life and work and there is also a well dedicated to his memory.
