Vanessa studied first at the Sunderland School of Art & Design in London and then at the Norwich School of Art & Design.  She has worked as an animation artist on a number of productions including 'Watership Down', 'Where the Wind Blows' and 'Wind in the Willows' etc.
She has also worked as a theatre and film designer.  In recent years Vanessa has concentrated her efforts almost entirely to painting dividing her attention between the human figure and the landscape.
From 2000 she has exhibited with considerable success at numerous venues both in London and the provinces.
