The daughter of professional cartographers, Sue was born in Southampton where she attended the local art college.  Having left college she spent some time as a draughtswoman, a significant influence on her approach and interpretation of the landscape.

In her early years Sue travelled extensively - visiting New Zealand, Greece, the USA and Europe, which had a profound effect on her work.

Having spent three years at Bristol College of Art and gaining a degree she settled in West Somerset.  Since then she has explored her immediate landscape and interprets in a highly individual way.
