Roger who lives at
Woolston Moor near Williton was born in Merseyside and
began painting during National Service in the Royal Air
Force, then studied at Liverpool College of Art and then
the Royal College of Art under Ruskin Spear and Carel Weight.
While at the
Royal College, Roger won a landscape prize, the year
after winning a life painting prize at the Royal
Academy.
He has exhibited at
leading galleries in London and in the provinces
including the Royal Academy, The Barbican, London, Reina
be Weijer, Amersfoort in the Netherlands and has
had numerous one-man shows at venues in Bath, Plymouth,
the Salt House Gallery and Plumbline Gallery in St. Ives and recently at the Brewhouse in
Taunton.
His work is in
private and public collections both at home and abroad
with paintings owned by Inde Coope, Austin/Desmond Fine
Art, British Petroleum, Mercury Communications and IBM. |
