An artist with a
long association with the early St. Ives School he
specialised in landscapes.
Born in Yorkshire he studied at the Wakefield and
Doncaster Schools of Art and later at the Slade in
London.
He first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1892 and from
that date was a regular exhibitor at the leading
galleries in London, the provinces and abroad.
His work is held in several public collections. |
