This wonderful painting is very evocative of post war England and beautifully observed. Little is known of this fascinating artist, although we have had work by him in the past.

His first recorded address is in Brighton, when in the pre-war years he visited Cornwall and exhibited a number of Cornish paintings at the Royal Academy during this period.

Following World War II, he continued to exhibit at the Academy from addresses in Sussex at Rottingdean and Newheaven.
