An interesting painter, a farmer by profession and a pupil of Arnesby Brown, whose influence can be seen in this stunning early work.

She met with considerable success, exhibiting at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute, the Paris Salon and America.

The Graves Art Gallery in Sheffield holds her work.

She lived for much of her life in Barlow, near Sheffield and was the sister of the painters May and Violet Wilson.
