Carruthers Gould R.B.A., R.W.A. 1870-1948

The son of the Victorian caricaturist Sir Francis Carruthers Gould lived for many years at Doverhay in Porlock. He first exhibited at the principal London Galleries from 1892 and was elected a member of both the R.B.A. and the R.W.A.

He produced a good deal of work in both oil and water-colour of Exmoor and the surrounding countryside and has an enthusiastic following.
